I am a strong proponent of regionalism, an advocate for rural America, a public relations maven, a kick butt event planner and a traditional economic development practitioner who has a proven record of results. I'm also a professional chaos coordinator, consensus builder, rule breaker, trailblazer, and master storyteller. My training programs are filled with experience, tangible strategies and best practices. My motivational keynote speeches are a combination of inspiration, wit & humor based on the many experiences I have been a part of or witness to that I love to share. My expertise is in making the audience think about new perspectives, and if we have a good time while doing it, then so be it!
I believe that there is so much more to consider than just data when working with a city, a county or a region. There are intangibles that are vitally important to the process...the dreams, the expectations and the heartbeat of the stakeholders. Solutions should be developed to address both the tangible and intangible needs of the citizenry and articulated in a way that is measurable, visible and attainable. I am more than a marketer, researcher and number cruncher. I have lived it. Felt it. Been in the field. Worked with prospects. Closed the deals. Chased the dream. It’s hard and I know it. Creating special solutions that accelerate your objectives is what I do best.
In my 27+ year economic development career, I have successfully grown three organizations… one at the local level (Sherman County Development), the regional level (The High Ground of Texas) and at the state level (Team Texas). I have had the privilege to work directly with more than 250 cities, counties, chambers, associations, utility companies, electric cooperatives and state agencies. I have worked with the smallest of cities to the largest of states. During that time I have renovated buildings, sold snow cones, lobbied for better policies, swept streets, painted signs, traveled the globe, coordinated over 300 trade and hospitality events and closed multi-million dollar deals. I have helped to create thousands of jobs in dozens of industries. Each and every job is a person, a story and an achievement I will never forget.
I have been truly overwhelmed and humbled by the response and interest so many have already shown for my new adventure, even before it officially launched. I am very honored by the trust you have placed in me and excited to be developing custom programs just for you.
